Ozark Trail Tents and Camping Gear Home      Coleman Sundome 10' X 10' Camping Tent

Are You Planning to Buy the Coleman Sundome 10' X 10' Camping Tent?

If this is the tent you are planning on purchasing, then I must give you a big thumbs up. All the reviews I can find tell me that this is the best tent for the money.

As you may or may not have noticed I have been doing a lot of research on cheap tents. Now my use of the phrase “cheap tents” is not referring to them as disposable, but dedicated purely to the inexpensiveness of these tents. If you are anything like me, you want to find the absolute best value for your money without giving up too much quality.

I am also starting a review campaign, where I will find camping tents and interview the campers using them, in order to better satisfy the readers of our articles and reviews.

I can hardly contain myself when it comes to wanting to find one of these tents in use. For under $100, the Coleman Sundome 10' X 10' looks to be an incredible value and if I do not find someone who owns this tent for a review soon, I may have to splurge.

I usually prefer a smaller tent, but the value of this Coleman camping tent is really intriguing me. From all the reviews I could find...this tent can handle heavy rains, of course I would seam seal it and spray it with camp dry before use. Living on the Oregon coast as I do, this may be the perfect place to try out this tents durability in some real rain strorms.

The only poor design of this tent that I have heard so far is that while the floor is taught, the walls are a bit on the loose side, thus removing a slight bit of the spaciousness. At 10' X 10' this tent should be more than spacious for 4 people, even if the walls do sag a bit, so Coleman referring to the Sundome tent as a 5 person tent is probably not too far off for all intensive purposes.

So, although I have not been able to get a face to face review of this tent yet, I am going to go out on a limb here and recommend it to anyone who is car camping or not going too remote. For remote camping I must suggest purchasing a 4-season tent versus a 3-season tent such as the Coleman Sundome 10' X 10' camping tent.
